Counselling and Psychotherapy for couples and other relationships (e.g. siblings, parent/child, friendships etc)

Our closest relationships can provide us with great contentment and happiness but they can also be a source of great anxiety and isolation when problems arise. Whether you are gay, lesbian, heterosexual or transgender I offer a flexible service of either short or long term work with couples who are having difficulties in their relationship and want to explore how these problems have arisen and how to change them.

Relationship therapy is not just for couples. I also have a depth of experience working through other significant relationships such as mother/daughter, friendships, siblings, fathers/child etc.

Problems in relationships often reflect underlying difficulties from each individuals experiences in earlier life, my aim as a couples psychotherapist is to establish what lies behind the current difficulties, in order to facilitate change. Some of the areas that are often considered in relationship couples therapy are below but this isn't a definitive list.

  • how to deepen your sense of connection and intimacy

  • how to understand your relationship patterns by building empathy and understanding

  • stop the repeated cycles of difficult dynamics including acute crises

  • learn how to communicate better
  • work through ending a relationship

Appointments will be weekly, lasting 60 minutes. My fee for relationship or couples therapy is £110.

My cancellation policy is 7 days.
